Sonam Kapoor an Indian film actress made her acting debut alongside newcomer Ranbir Kapoor in
Bhansali's Saawariya (2007).
In 2009, she appeared in Rakeysh Omprakash
Mehra's Delhi-6 opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Sonam's performances were
highly praised in both of these films.
Sonam is the daughter of Indian
film star Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor.
Before starting her career off
as an actress, Sonam worked as an assistant director under Sanjay Leela
Bhansali, and assisted him during the making of Black.
